One of our favorite Instagram trends is the “postcards” series. It’s simple, but it feels incredibly relatable. There’s no performance, no fancy camera movements – just the candid, real world.
So when our client, the Valkyries, told us they wanted to take part in the trend, we were excited to bring it to life. We sent one shooter to their August 12, 2026 game to capture everything: the pre-game anticipation, the action during the game, and the moments after the final whistle.
Filming in this style allows you to capture what it actually felt like to be there. But more than that, it brings attention to all the little moments we might otherwise miss or forget. The moments we typically consider “boring” – walking to a certain place, waiting for the game to start, watching a player before they score.
On their own, these moments may not seem significant. But strung together, with maybe “bigger” moments too, as a series of postcards, they become something more. They are all the moments that make up an experience – and that’s important to remember.
